Rush Limbaugh Taken to Hawaii Hospital

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was taken to a hospital with chest pains on Wednesday, a Honolulu television station reported.

Paramedics responded to a call at 2:41 p.m. from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is vacationing, KITV reported. The station, citing unnamed sources, said the 58-year-old Limbaugh was taken to The Queens Medical Center in serious condition.

Queens spokeswoman N. Makana Shook says the hospital is unable to comment on the report.

Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic said paramedics took a male of unknown age to an area hospital from the Kahala Hotel and Resort. He said he had no further information.

Limbaugh was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week, KITV said. The country club is next to the Kahala hotel.

For privacy reasons, hotel spokeswoman Sheila Donnelly Theroux said she was unable to acknowledge that Limbaugh is a guest.

In 2001, Limbaugh reported he had lost most of his hearing due to an autoimmune inner-ear disease. He had surgery to have an electronic device placed in his skull to restore his hearing.

Two years later Limbaugh acknowledged he was addicted to pain medicine. He blamed the addiction on severe back pain, and took a five-week leave from his radio show to enter rehab.

Actress Brittany Murphy Dies Unexpectedly at Age 32

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Brittany Murphy, who starred in such films as "Just Married" and "Uptown Girls" but saw her fortunes fade in recent years, died on Sunday, officials said. She was 32.

A spokeswoman at the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office told Reuters that it had been informed of her death by officials at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center but had no other information.

The Los Angeles Times said Murphy was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai after going into cardiac arrest. A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department said officers responded to an emergency call at her home in West Hollywood at 8 a.m. PST.

Her death was first reported by online gossip site TMZ which said Murphy's mother, Sharon, found her unconscious in her shower.

Murphy had been reduced to starring in low-budget indie movies in recent years, most recently the thriller "Across the Hall," which opened in one theater each in New York and Los Angeles two weeks ago.

Earlier this month, reports circulated that she was fired from the movie "The Caller," which is filming in Puerto Rico. Her publicist said the split was "creative differences." When she and her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, returned to Los Angeles, he fell unconscious on the plane and was rushed to hospital.

Murphy had recently been photographed in an emaciated state at public events.

Murphy seemed destined for big things in the 1990s, thanks to roles in such films as the satires Clueless" (1995) and "Drop Dead Gorgeous" (1999), as well as in "Girl, Interrupted," for which Angelina Jolie received an Oscar in 2000.

She appeared opposite Michael Douglas in the 2001 thriller "Don't Say A Word," and played Eminem's love interest in the 2002 hit "8 Mile."

The following year, she co-starred with Ashton Kutcher in the romantic comedy "Just Married" and with Dakota Fanning in "Uptown Girls." But the movies failed to generate much commercial or critical heat.

Murphy enjoyed more enduring success on the small screen, providing the voice of the vacuous Texan Luanne Platter in the cartoon series "King of the Hill." She also voiced a penguin in the 2006 box office hit "Happy Feet."

Bengals Receiver NFL Chris Henry Dies

Bengals receiver Chris Henry died on Thursday after falling from a moving truck in Charlotte, N.C., on Wednesday, according to police. He was 26.

The football player had apparently been involved in an argument with his fiancée at a home when she drove away in a pickup truck. Henry jumped onto the bed of the truck, but fell out of the vehicle about a half-mile away.

A police spokesperson said homicide detectives were assigned to the case, but that no charges have been filed.

A seemingly perpetually troubled player, the hot-tempered Henry was arrested at various times for marijuana possession, gun possession and assault, earning him the epithet of "one-man crime wave" from a judge and his ouster from the Cincinnati Bengals in 2008.

But after the Bengals’ owner gave Henry a second chance, the athlete seemed to have straightened out, staying out of trouble and focusing his off time on his fiancée and the three children they were raising.

Avatar Will Change Movies Forever

James Cameron made $75 million from Titanic. But his dream has always been to make a science fiction thriller on the scale of Star Wars, the film that changed his world forever. For this reason, he took 12 years off, largely to make the film 'Avatar'. Avatar is the crystalization of his vision of a new kind of movie. Cameron even invented a new kind of 3D camera in order to make the film. A first.

See The Amazing Trailer for Avatar:

Rumors are now swirling that Avatar will win the special effects Oscar for 'Avatar', and is a real contender to win the big prize, Best Picture.

For fans of science fiction, this is a whole new world. Avatar's characters, from a mythical tribe called Na'vi, are 10-foot tall blue creatures that are nonetheless humanoid. These life-like, brilliant creations make up the people side of the 'Avatar' story. However, the landscapes are to behold. The amazing floating mountains, which seem to be inspired by Roger Dean paintings, set this stage for this other-worldly masterpiece.

If you're a fan of science fiction -- or just films in general -- and you want to be a part of history, mark your calendars for December 18, when 'Avatar' opens worldwide.

Tiger Woods Slow Jam Remix

In case you've been unable to catch the latest twist in the Tiger Woods saga, on December 2, UsWeekly released an audio tape which allegedly features Woods leaving a message for mistress #3, Jamiee Grubbs. In the message, he pleads with Ms. Grubbs to remove her name from her voicemail greeting -- presumaby to prevent his wife from connecting the dots about his affair with Grubbs. Here is a transcript of the message allegedly left for Jaimee Grubbs:

"Hey, It's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So, if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."

Well, it didn't take long for creatives to do what they do best -- create something really catchy based on this unfortunate voicemail leakage. The guys at halfdaytoday.com have come up with the "Tiger Woods Slow Jam Remix", effectively putting the voicemail to music in the most hilarious and catchy way.

Check it out for yourself, we think you'll agree.
